This was the first European mount I have ever attempted. I had to watch some videos before I started, but I was able to make everything look pretty good.I did have an issue with the paint in the kit. I think it had settled out because the bottle was kind of yellowed and the paint was much whiter than the plastic.Feeling frustrated at my failure, I waited almost 8 months before reaching out to the company to see if they would help, and boy did they! Upon submitting my inquiry I received a response offering to send me a new bottle of paint. Within a week it was on my doorstep with a few extras thrown in. The communication was excellent and I was treated like I was the most important customer in the world.Such a great experience and I would recommend this company to all my buddies who want to preserve their memories. I have several of these Mountain Mike's Mounts and they look great. I am giving this 2 stars because the epoxy that was in this kit is useless. I went to mount the antlers, and the epoxy part that is the grey hardener was dried up and hard, therefore it would not mix. Also when I opened the kit it looked like the plastic skull was used. I bought 2 of these kits in early fall of 2017. Therefore I can't send them back. For what these kits cost, I suggest getting them from a big box store. That way if there is any old epoxy or marked up skulls you can at least take it back.UPDATED to 5 Stars: Contacted Mountain Mike's and they sent out replacement epoxy ASAP. Thanks for the great customer service.

The skull is pretty realistic, especially since it's not something you will hold & look at up close... once it's on the wall, it's very realistic... the only reason I gave it a 4 of 5 is the stuff given to fill the gap from skull capping is a bit hard to match the texture & color. 3 coats of paint & it still doesn't match great... and hind sight.. I should have taken some sand paper to the hardened epoxy or whatever it is... this may have smoothed it a bit... all in all, a good product for a decent price. My 3 by 4 looks pretty good as a European mount.

I’ve used mountain bike products several times and always been super happy. They sent me two skulls that I cannot use. It has the complete front cut out with a whole bunch of extra steps in order to mount the antlers. I didn’t even know this type exist existed. I wanted the standard skull where you cut your horns off and screw them directly to the plastic skull. I am out $100 and have two skulls that are worthless. Completely dumb idea to even make this product and was not clear that you were not sending me what I have always ordered.
