If you are envisioning a shaker style wood boot rack, this is not it. This is really a simple stained board with screw holes pre drilled and wooded dowels that have been varnished. Unfortunately the board and dowels do not match at all. This is about $10 of lumber from the hardware store. It's getting returned.

This item is sturdy and will do the job of holding boots, but I am very disappointed in the fact that the wood is not even close to matching.

It seems to be solid wood. It's easy to assemble (I'm not particularly handy or strong). I have to zip my boots before I put them on the organizer so they'll sit straight, but that's a small inconvenience. With other organizer designs, I'd have to fumble with threading my boots onto the holders, but this one is one-swoop-and-they're-stored.
