How It Works

Plug in, the red light turns on, the heater will start working until water temperature up to setting temperature, and red light off, then the green light will turn on, heater stops working and keeping constant temperature.

Overheat Protection

The heater is programmed to shut itself off when the temperature is too high to avoid overheating and damage, and then heat itself up to the set temperature when the temperature drops.

Precise Temperature Control

The heater doesn't always keep running after reaching the set temperature. It is normal to have a temperature difference. The temperature difference of this heater is only +/- 2 °F, which can ensure the constant temperature of the tank.

Quartz Glass Material

Quartz glass has excellent thermal resistance, strong corrosion resistance and good insulation performance, which makes it widely used in various thermal insulation heating products and becomes a good choice for heater materials.

Stylish Understated Design

The slender tube shape and low-profile color make the heater easy to hide without disturbing your fish, and it is easy to judge the working status of the heater according to the indicator light.

I have been using this heater for just over a year... I love the small size of it compared to most other heaters which makes it great for nano tanks where you don't have a ton of space to stick a heater... but I HATE the temperature control dial! it is hard to turn, hard to set and not accurate. currently have the heater dial set for 80 but at 77.4 it is still "green" and not heating. I am going to try the version with the digital controls and see if that is any easier to deal with

I am really unhappy with this product. The temperature dial was always finicky and would get “stuck” but I never anticipated that this would suddenly stop heating my aquarium.I was changing the water when I discovered it was far too cold for my tropical fish and invertebrates. Checked the temperature and it was at 76° instead of 82°. I don’t know how long it had been that way but this is a very dangerous situation.I do not recommend this product. It’s unreliable.Thankfully I had 2 other spare heaters and was able to warm up the water.

I have had 4 of these now. I like them a lot, but you do have to play around with it to find the sweet spot as it heats a few degrees cooler than the chosen temp. The dial can also be quite difficult to turn, but once you figure out where you need it, you can just set it and forget it.I have mine connected to a temp control on the off-chance they fail, but I haven't had any issue with that yet. Fingers crossed.

I like how truly small this heater is. It fits well in my 5 gallon tank, however I find I have to crank it by about 5-7 degrees above where I want the temperature to be. I live in Canada and I keep my house fairly chill in the winter, sooo this is probably part of the issue. I love the external temp control! Nice to not have to pull the heater out of the tank to see the temp gauge. This is a good middle ground between those auto temp small heaters , which never make my tank warm enough, and a big long heater that takes up too much tank space in a little 5 gallon.

I wanted a heater that had the temperature control externally, so I thought I'd give this a try. The rotating control knob is a bit difficult to turn, and it doesn't look like it's that precise really, but it does the job. Ie. setting a temperature on the dial of 78 might really 80 deg, which I guess is acceptable to have a +/- of 2 deg. I"m not sure if it's the dial or the thermostat, but it does the job overall as long as you're aware of this. Overall, I'm satisfied with the heater, so I bought another one, but the second one was completely off - it was about 8 deg higher than the dial, so had to return the second one. It's a good heater otherwise.
