Well worth the price and quality for a home mechanic. As someone in the trade for 30 plus years I wouldn't say it's durable enough to last year's of repetition but would even be feasible for apprentice start up.

Worked good to do the lower ball joints on my 2013 Ram 1500. I heavily greased the tool's screw before using it. I used a breaker bar and an impact wrench, and the tool was fine with both. I needed to hit the ball joint with a hammer a few times to get it moving, then the press finished the job. Worked for both uninstalling the old joint and installing the new one. Good quality strong tool. The adapters and screw are obviously heat treated, not soft metal.

Does NOT work for GM Sierra/Silverado/suburban etc 1500 the studs on the ball joints are too long do not have enough space to use this particular C clamp. The receivers are also too short and the stud of the ball joint hits them. Had to make up my own adapters in order for this to work. Believe the heavy duty one OEM tools offers would be a better fit. This is for smaller trucks like colorados rangers etc. Still made of good quality though just advertised wrong.

I bought this off brand one on Amazon. It was 3 dollars more. It was terrible. I used it on the 30th day and was able to just make the refund window. Come on to find this thing cheaper and it's a real tool. Oem tools can be found at autozone so you know it's good.

WARNING:The sticker side of the box is not top of the box!Worked great on replacing the upper and lower ball joints on my son’s 07 ram 1500.Apply axel grease to the threads before use. Also, the tip of the drive screw comes out and the roller ball inside needs to be greased as well.The instructions inside the box could be better in figuring out the riddle of the sphinx, of which cups to use.
