Worked as I needed it to, drilling a 1.5" hole where a 1" hole already existed in a metal 55-gallon drum (rain barrel project). It was difficult to find a drill bit that went to 1.5". Most stopped at 1 3/8".

Worked as I hoped it would. Put a few 1" holes in a metal barrel to make it a burn barrel. It works great! Not sure how long it will last, likely dependent on the metal I'm drilling.

Cut through stainless steel like butter. I was concerned with all the information relative to how difficult it is to cut through stainless steel. This step drill while not cheap made the process quick and painless. Well worth the price and did not get dull after cutting a couple holes. Don’t hesitate to buy.

I had a hard time drilling through aluminum. The aluminum was pretty thick but overall took me at least a hour to get through a 1/2 inch. It worked but it was dull after the job.
