Updated 06/15/2023Great customer service. I had a problem with my compressor, initiated a return and wrote a review (still below) of my experience with the machine. A day after my review went live, I was emailed by someone with the company saying that mine was certainly defective and they would like to send me a replacement. I worried this would run my time out beyond my return date, they assured me the replacement could still be returned if I was not satisfied. The new one works perfectly (seeing how this one operates when plugged in and switched on, there is no doubt my first one was defective). I emailed back and forth several times before agreeing to accept a replacement. Plugged the replacement in, hooked up my tank, switched it on, and it filled the 1L tank in about 35 minutes with no issue. The compressor works well and the seller has great customer service. I still have a question or two I need to ask about the filters in the dryer device, but I'm sure they will respond quickly. I wouldn't be scared to buy.(initial review)I own two small 1L smaco scuba tanks. I purchased this compressor because using a large tank to refill the small tanks doesn't work well, as you only get maybe five minutes of air into the small tanks. The compressor seems heavy which makes it feel like it may be good quality.Maybe the one I received is defective. When first plugged in, the internal cooling fan begins to run, the fan only turns off if the machine is unplugged, the power switch has no affect on the fan. On it's first use, the compressor ran six and a half minutes before it shut down. I had no idea why it stopped. I thought it might be to allow it to cool down. I waited 30 minutes for it to resume, it never did, I had to push the start button to resume. The second time it only ran two minutes before the same shut down occurred. The ambient temp during this time was about 68 degrees. I then placed a small, high velocity fan in front of the compressor, allowed it to sit for 15 min, and tried for a third time. This time it ran for about a minute and a half and shut down again. My tank is 1L, I lost track of how many times I had to restart manually to fill this very small tank, I believe it was 8, with about two hours invested. The next day I tried to fill my second 1L tank. This time, with the extra fan blowing in front of the compressor, the initial run was ten and a half minutes. I then left the machine for an hour or so, came back, restarted and left it again. I have no idea how long it ran. I came back an hour later, restarted again. Basically I did this over the course of a day, it took the initial run plus 4 restarts to put 300 bar in a 1L tank. Maybe my expectations are too high, but I expect it to be able to fill my very small 1L tank (without adding an external fan, and restarting four or five times). I am returning this machine, I don't think I really want to try another one.

This is definitely a compact and useful pump to have for light scuba tanks and airsoft shooting. It works great for many of the scuba tanks I use for basic diving. One thing I will say is that this is not something I would use for those big scuba tanks. I am unsure if it has the power to pump those big tanks. This does come with a decent length hose. Those hose is actually pretty sturdy. The metal coil wrapping is great to give it a sturdier and more flexible feel without breaking or damaging the hose. It also comes with a battery clamp to car battery as that will be needed to power the device the device. Surprisingly this device is not that loud. You still have some noise but you have to be pretty close for it to be annoying. You should have your car running if you are running this device as it will require a good amount of power to power this pump and you do not want to have a dead battery. I do like the design of how the cables wrap around behind the X. It looks very clean and I barely even notice there's a cable attached to it. This device definitely helps you if you have a low tire pressure anytime and do not need to go to the gas station. The down side is that you do need to pop the hood and connect this device so it is not exactly a quick pump but it still very nice to have. It is also a good way to avoid gas station pumps. You can finally pump your tire from the comfort of your home or if you are out and about and need a tire pumped up. There are two thing I will say first about this is that the pump does require to be plugged your car in order to use it to pump your car tires which means that you do not get to plug this into the wall for power. Second, you should and must have the car turned on and running before this will have enough power the pump without killing your battery. The normal head for this pump can universally screw into any canister I have. From what I can tell, this device does not have its own built in battery and requires and external power source in order to function. The pump itself is going to be loud when pumping so be aware of that when using this. If there is not a lot of noise then there is not enough power going to the device and the pump will not actually work. I have not actually seen a tire pump that is not loud as it requires a ton of power to push air into the tire. It is pretty compact and light. There is also a very strong and well-built handle so you can easily carry the device to and from your car. I actually put this device in my car but it does take up a good amount of trunk space as the device is not exactly small or light. There is no carrying case which is annoying because you cant store the hose. The handle on the device seems durable so it should not break. The thing to note is that this does shut off on its down so you have to worry about it overfilling the bottle. It knows when to turn off. You can also turn it on and off by pressing the power button. The hose and pump head do get pretty warm when using this for extended period of time. Please note you do need to let this cooldown after 20 minutes of use. This is something you can also fit in your trunk and it will not take up too much space. It does not have a plug that goes into your cigarette lighter to draw power. There is no flashlight with this. The one downside is that the cables are a bit harder to organize compared to many other tie pumps. Overall I think this tire pump to have if you are a person who does airsofting or some free diving. It definitely has enough power to provide you with the air needed. One thing to nose is to not put this near anything that may be exhausting fumes as this could be introduced into your tank. It really givesIt does require a connection to your battery. The pump is powerful and relatively quiet. It is a bit on the heavy side being mostly metal so be aware of that. There is not carrying case so no real place to store the hose. I really like the cable management especially the car jumper.

It worked well, until it didn't. Burned out after less than 10 uses. It's too late to return it. I guess I'll get to find out how good Smaco product support is.
