This is an updated review. In my earlier review, I had thought that the connection on one end of each cable was wrong. But *I* was wrong. I should have read the description more closely. The product is specifically for a telephone-to-modem connection, so the "reverse" wiring is correct for that. For normal telephone-to-wall-jack connections, though, a "straight-through" cable should be used. If anyone read my earlier review before I edited it, please accept my apology.

I have a Valentine One radar detector the I didn't want plugged into my cigarette lighter. So, I decided to use the power port in my center console. Since this involved running the power cord half way across the bottom of the windshield, around the side of the dash, under the dash to the front center console and then along the center tunnel, up into the center console between the front seats, I needed about 12.5 feet of wire. Most of the wire available (without having to attach the end pieces myself) was either 10' or 25'. This being 15 feet, I decided to give it a try, despite my concern over the inexpensive price. I was expecting a relatively thin wire in semi-hard insulation. I was very surprised! The wire is of proper gauge and is very flexible. Since I knew I had a few feet to spare, I routed the wire to better secure it and take up the slack along the way, rather than bundle the excess at the end. My other concern is that this is a "straight" wire, as opposed to a "reverse" wire. This means the 4 wires are lined up the same way on both ends. I had read opposing information regarding whether the detector required straight or reversed wire. As it turns out, this straight wire worked perfectly. Another plus is that, unlike many bargain-priced accessories on Amazon, this shipped from the USA and arrived in 2 days, with Prime.
