Rather than spending thousands on a new hood, Polyvance created the KW T800 Hood Repair Kit which repairs and reinforces the broken pockets. The cast aluminium pocket plugs and steel reinforcing plate are bolted and bonded into place with the included PlastiFix high performance methacrylate adhesive.

it's a great looking product for what I paid for it but one thing it is missing is a caulking gun like seriously guys you could have put a caulking in the box for the glue as you know one is needed to complete the job

Got a used 17 T800 with the hood mounts broke out. Good to see that I wasn't the only one with this problem! Repair kit is well made and easy to install, thank you to the manufacturer! Don't forget the double barrel caucking gun. Use in a well ventilated area the epoxy kicks off some pretty strong fumes.

This kit was easy to use and worked very well to fix the hood alignment bracket. Polyvance has an instructional video on You Tube that walks you through the repair. It's not very difficult and was very solid once the adhesive cured. One thing I would add is you need that is not part of the kit is a 2-part / 2 tube application gun to dispense the adhesive. When you are ready to glue the assembly in the hood, I recommend putting 2 pairs of nitrile gloves on so you can glue the metal part in remove the 1st pair of gloves, fasten the piece with the screw and drill the holes for the rivets that will secure the metal plate, then you can go right back to applying the adhesive. The adhesive will begin to cure and get hard faster if it is warmer outside or you are in the sun. You will be able to quickly apply the glue and secure the pieces without getting the glue on your tools if you remove a pair of gloves after each application of glue.

This is a great product! I’m glad I didn’t have to buy a new hood. You need to buy a gun/dispenser for the epoxy.
