The winner of this years boonie replacement sweepstakes. At first I wasn't so sure about the lighter weight ripstop fabric on this hat, but over the past few weeks it's been the one that get grabbed most regularly on the way out the door. It fits well, sits right, isn't too floppy, keeps the sun off my head and out of my eyes, stays cool, and generally does what it's supposed to with no fuss.

I had to return this hat because it didn't fit my head (I guess I have a giant head). Wish that the seller included more info on the sizing of their hats. Seemed nice otherwise though.

Love this hat. I took it to the NJ beach and it gave me the protection I was looking for. While I knew I wasn't going to get an authentic G.I. issue boonie hat, this item comes pretty darn close. The only change I would make would be to add snaps on the side to hold them if you don't want to wear it "floppy". Also, I would suggest a longer drawstring for the larger size hats. Other than that, the fit and styling were great. One other comment, I would suggest a quick wash to get out the new smell and also take a little stiffness out of the material.
