Compared to the defective fan this one is whisper quiet even when under load.Very impressed.Will report back if anything changes.

I bought this replacement for an HP Elitebook G6. The original fan was quite loud and running all the time. This replacement is much quieter. Note that on the G6 you have to pop off the keyboard to take out a couple of screws on top as well as the two screws on the bottom. There are two screws in the middle of the motherboard that need to be removed to pop the keyboard loose. They are marked.
