I have a 2017 Rubicon Recon. There was some question about whether or not it would fit. Worked perfectly. I had to buy different bolts because of the thicker diff cover on the Recon but otherwise it was perfect. Well built. Headed to Windrock TN in a week. Can’t wait to see how it holds up.

Heavy duty 3/16 inch steel glide plate that comes with all the necessary hardware for installation plus thread locker for the diff cover bolts.Instructions are simple and include illustrations. Easy install, although having previously installed a Rock Hard oil pan skid (as well as the transmission, fuel tank and evap canister skids) made access to the hanging bracket bolts tricky.The plate will cost you about a 1/4 inch ground clearance but for me, wheeling a stock Rubicon, the protection was well worth it.Since my 2018 Rubicon Recon JKU has red trim and my winch fairlead is red, the red glide plate matches perfectly.Plan to purchase and install a set for my wife's JL to protect that diff plug Jeep engineers placed on the bottom of the diff exposing it to every rock you slide over.

I've got these on both my JL and JK Jeeps and gave them a licking on a trip to Jericho Mountain State Park in New Hapshire where they were bumped into and dragged over rock after rock. They did the job and protected the differentials beautifully. I can't say enough about the Rancho Rock Gear products on my Jeeps. They are really tough.

A little difficult to install the bracket, and it didn’t help that the longer bolts were far too long (required a lot of extra wrenching for no good reason), but the skid plate is really sturdy in the end.
