the wii mini is a much better console for playing wii games. I have had 3 wii's and all of the disc drives after 2 years aproximately break . i have owned multiple nintendo game consoles and have a black original wii which i own to play only downloadable virtual console games. i am still very hesitant to even play one wii game in this console so as not to damage my virtual console games. i bought the wii mini because it loads discs like the game cube. i lost 3 expensive games to the other wii consoles including mario baseball, super mario galaxy 2 and wii sports because the original wii console would not eject them and would stop reading the discs. as a collector i am very nervous of putting my games in the wii console because of the excessive scratching of the discs. the red wii mote and the nunchuck look really nice and it is a great value if you get it with mario kart.the front loader is cumbersome and not as sophisticated as the wii original console, but i do not want to damage the nintendo exclusives which go up in value . i use the black wii original for only virtual console games and the wii mini for wii disc based exclusives games. it is important to note that in 10 years this console will go up in value just like the snes slim model and the original nes 102 model. due again to the durability of the console and low production value. the wii is a family console and party console and the online capability is not really that important. i dont understand anyone who would still use wii to watch netflix, when you can just attach your laptop via hdmi to any tv.i wish that nintendo could make a usb wireless attachment card for it and a sd card slot so you can save more games and transfer to other consoles. also wish it hd conector ports for gamecube controllers.i will be grabbing another model soon

Yes, I like it. My original Nintendo Wii doesn't work, and this plays the games we like so far. A Christmas present so we shall see how long this will work. Amazon was fine with the order and shipping; just am disappointed in Nintendo not supporting older game consoles.... always forcing you to buy another BRAND NEW MODEL, which is usually worse than you had and makes your previous games obsolete. I see this one is now an "obsolete item" too.

our first Wii, although we have played with them at other homes. We are a retired couple. We found it VERY easy to set up, and started playing with it immediately. Only suggestion for others here is be sure to follow the set up instructions slowly and carefully. We may end up buying a second controller, although it is not that inconvenient to share the one that came with the bundle. We do not care that the Wii Mini does not have internet capability, as we only intend to use it to play games at home ourselves. Something else to get us up and out of our chairs and moving. We find it lots of fun!

its has so much static and not good graphics. DO NOT GET THIS. This was the worst nintendo product I've had. I am very disappointed in nintendo. If you want a cheap ok game system. Its ok but if u want something really advanced id get a wii or wii u. I tried the wii after that the difference was amazing. Compared to the wii mini its great. So if u want a game console thats not that good but is cheap id get this. If you want something more advanced like I did dont get this

It is the bare bones of Wii's no Gamecube and no internet and at a good price of $100. Even though it's a Canadian exclusive it does work on American TVs and US Wii games. The console sits flat, has a disc lid kinda like the Gamecube, no Gamecube memory card or controller ports, no SD card port. But, in my opinion the best part of this set is the red wiimote and nunchuck included since Nintendo hasn't released a red one for retail this is the only way to get one if you want to play with a red controller. And, yes the wiimote is a Wii Motion Plus. I personally love it but, in all honesty this is only good for as a collectible, to get your hands on a red controller, and spare Wii AV cable, power adapter, and senor bar all for $100.
