Advertises easy blade changed. GREAT! Except you can't get the blades anywhere. Ryobi Canada doesn't list them, Ryobi USA does but when you add to cart it tells you to go to HD.com, who don't carry them. Third party resellers have them from time to time, plus they are $21USD!!!. That's a third of the cost of the bare tool. This thing works great, but once the blade is done you are up the creek.

I have a lot of overgrowth on my property. Something this product would be perfect for. Guess I over used it. After a week it developed a gap at the bottom of the cutting mantle. Now it won't cut all the way through anymore.

I had to replace the main water line to my house and this tool came in handy. there were so many cuts to make my hand would have been hurting by the end. Also support both sides of the cut if you can or it will make a slight angle in the cut. There is one con I would like to mention. Some cuts are made to where the pipe bulges a little and makes test fitting pipes very difficult. With that said I still give this tool 5 stars because I don't really feel like that is a flaw of the tool just something that is unavoidable with this type of power tool.

I am not a pool or plumbing contractor. I purchased the Ryobi PVC/Pex cutter to use around my house because I'm not getting any younger. Cutting thru 1-1/2" to 2" PVC schedule 40 with a manual cutter is not as easy as it use to be.The tool is a bit heavy but if feels well built. I am satisfied with the tool because it does the job I bought it for. To cut 1"-2" PVC schedule 40 pipe for drains and pool equipment. Nothing that is going to be under pressure so getting a 90 Deg cut is not critical to my applications. The 2 things I don't like about it is:1. The anvil you rest the pipe on is not flat across. It is tapered on each end which makes it impossibleto get a 90 deg cut because when the blade comes in contact with the pipe the force of the bladecutting thru makes the pipe move which in turn makes it impossible for you to hold the pipe or toolat a 90 deg angle for the whole cut. From the top of your cut to the bottom you can be off 1/16" to1/8".2. Make sure you measure and double check the length of pipe you need and make one cut. If you cutthe pipe too long and need to trim off an 1"-2" it will be difficult to get a nice clean cut. Because youare cutting off such a small piece, the force of the blade will deform the end of the pipe as it cutsthrough which will increase your chances of a bad cut or worse you can crack the pipe.Like I said for cutting 1"- 2" pipe for drain and pool applications, where a 90 deg cut is not critical, it works fine.
