These headphones are AMAZING they are BRIGHT and DETAILED like the sr850s however on top of that the closed back design gives these a nice bit of EXTRA BASS and NOISE ISOLATION. And so for a NOISY ENVIRONMENT I would definitely RECOMMEND these over the 850s and for the price they make a GREAT GIFT idea as well since anyone is sure to love both the BEAUTIFUL SOUND and EFFORTLESS FIT thanks to their SELF ADJUSTING HEADBAND and SOLID CONSTRUCTION

Comfortable, good sound quality, and nice sound isolation. Cable ended up melting and twisting off after a single roadtrip. Must have been in the sun for a bit too long. Build quality is okay otherwise.

Decent. Gets uncomfortable after a while. Doesn't come with a mic. Wire is *very* long.

I'm using them for their intended purpose, mixing and recording.I chose closed back for tracking and letting clients use the cheap pair.I have beyerdynamic DT 990s and these Samson's are no where near them, in a bad way. However for the price, these Samson's are more than adequate for the job. But I wouldn't consider these to be audiophile or extremely detailed

I have a number of headphones from Shure, AKG, Sennheiser and Sony. For my money, this is an incredible buy... These phones are articulate across the spectrum and the soundstage is impressive. I guess the cord could be shorter and the unit could a have bit more styling but if your'e just interested in sound, you will not be disappointed. The price is really low for this quality.

This is a surprisingly good product. I'm not a professional, I can't give a comparing analysis with other high end headphones, but I listen a wide variety of music and I'm sensitive to good sound quality.I decided to replace my old gamer headset that I used during work because it started to be noisy and it annoyed me a lot.My requirements were: good sound, big and comfy (plush) ear cups and good noise canceling under 100 bucks. This headphones fulfills all my needs. I expected good quality, but it truly amazed me.About sound quality:As I told I can't use pro phrases to describe, but when I first tried it was like when I first time put on my glasses - I didn't notice earlier that everything is a little blurry until I saw sharp. It was better with an order of magnitude than my idea of good sound quality. It has crystal clear and deep sound from deep to high.About comfort:I have definitely not smaller than average ears, I was fine with my previous 40mm headphones, but this one with the 50mm diameter completely covers my ears. The plush cushion is very comfortable and not too warm. The whole headset is not too heavy and the self-adjusting mechanism works good, keep the cups where they need to be. The only minus is that it's a bit tight for me - however I have a big head. It's not too bothering, I still can wear it for hours and as I saw in other reviews it will break in with time.About noise canceling:This was a big concern for me, I work as an only developer in an open office with full of sales and operation people. The concentration is really important for me but the server dings behind my back, the printer clicks continuously and the people are always on phone. With this headphone I hear nothing of them! When it's on my head with music on, it's like I'm in an other room door closed. There is no way I understand when they talk me you even if I want it. The minus: they can and they do sneak behind my back without I notice anything about them :)The cons:However I have no issues with the overall built quality - I like the minimalist more than the fancy ones - but it does have some parts that LOOK cheap. I'm personally not convinced that it's a quality issue, probably more like a design flaw. But I rather listen to it than look at it.An other negative and it will sound weird but it restricted my preferred music sources because of the good sound quality. I listened mostly net-radios and because now I can hear everything, their quality annoys me. Well, their reason for 128KB/s is that people don't have the equipment to hear the lower quality issues. With this product I do have and now I have to look for lossless content to enjoy them with my new shiny headphones.Only one radio stands still - the Radio Paradise. I know it's not the place for commercial but those guys deserve it, the premium music quality, the music selection and their cool app that can cache it for offline just rocks.Summarized I absolutely satisfied and recommend it. I really can't imagine how someone gave this 1 star, my most optimistic guess is he got a defective product.

I purchased this set of head phones to work with the blue yeti microphone, however I have used it for general music listening, film watching, VoIP and gaming. It stands up very well across all levels. Personally I like a headset with a little more bass so the absence of this is noticed but forgiven due to quality of sound. To summarise;Pros;- comes with attachable/ detachable micropgone extender jack- sound quality is great- build quality seems very sturdy- cost is great- noise cancelling is great, so much so if you where the headset over 1 ear it still has an effect.Cons;- bass is a little low however can probably fix that through external sound manipulationWould recommend for anyone looking for and all round set of headphones that don't have an attached microphone.

Absolutely love these headphones. They're a little tight at first, but after some use they get broken in and are very comfortable. The auto adjust works splendid as well. The sound is so great, when I first tried the SR950's I hadn't used heaphones this good before and I just couldn't stop smiling whilst listening to music. Great balanced sound. I've heard lots of people address that the lows aren't that emphasized which is somewhat true but I don't mind, it is a studio sound, giving you the balanced audio that music producers want you to hear. They're a bit big and bulky but I don't really care. The cord is incredibly long and it's hard to know what to do with all that cord. It's nice to have but for now I just have it wound up in a loop with the twist tie the cans come with so the cord hangs down to a reasonable length. I highly recommend these headphones, especially for the price.

These Headphones ARE professional grade believe me, the sound is 100% crunchy, and the bass is what it should be. reference right for studio. If u plan on listening big phat rap music all the time i dont think theses are for u.Put some Eric Clapton- (cocaine) in these and u will never put those babies on the side again ; they will become your reference. The best bucks i have invested in a while! Yet housing and headband a bit Chuncky plastic cheap materials YES it looks like real crappp to me, but its farrrr away from being bad hearphones, and truly we kinda feel good about it because we can see that the item value is on the sound quality, i compare theses samson to any 300-400$ hearphones out there but The confort is so so, 3-4 hours in a row with no problem but still far away from hugging a teddy bear, feels a bit snug for my big head 21-3/4 i think but still will never buy anything else but Samson, for the first time i feel like ive not been robbed.EDIT: after 2 years i still have those and i really enjoy them. I use them with an DAC AMP on my PC and its very immersive in games and probably the best moneywise headphones out there. Wow. Still recommend!
