I normally use a lockbox by one of the name-brand lock companies, for an AirBnB property I help manage. I've had one of these name-brand boxes--which are extremely heavy--lock up with an unknown combination while I wrangled it. The South Main Hardware is light enough to maneuver with both hands and has a manageable "security switch" easily manipulated, if you want to change the code from 0-0-0-0.I've owned this less than twenty-four hours but know already I'll be using these rather than the heavier "name-brand" boxes from now on. If it matters, and it does, I utilize lockboxes to hide only a single key.

I hang this on the grab handle by the steps on my travel trailer so I can leave the keys behind, especially when at the beach. This way we don't have to take the keys with us and we only have to give someone the code. The back of the lock has a soft material so it doesn't bang up/scratch whatever it is mounted to.

Easy to set the combination, holds a few house keys so you don't have to be there when the gas company or other utility needs access to your home. It's made of kind of light metal, so I'm sure a determined crook could get past it with a hammer or a crowbar. I wouldn't use it to keep my keys outside my house all the time, but for those rare instances where you need to, it does a good job. Probably not big enough to hold most modern car keys.

I needed something to put our house key in for our cleaning service. The old "under the door mat" was making me a nervous wreck. This seems to be a substantial lock. The combination was very easy to set, and can be changed at any time. After setting my combination, I tested it several times and it opened every time. The U part of the lock is coated with a rubber substance so it won't wear the door handle, and there is a rubber piece on the back so it won't damage the wood on our door. I purchased 2, and all in all, I am very satisfied with the purchase.
