Subaru Outback 2005 fits perfect and it locks just fine. It's a fuel cap so no complicated installation. Good value for your buck but don't fix no engine lights. Don't expect it to be fixing anything just to fuel cap. Functions just fine

Our old cap lost the connection to the tank a while ago and after many years I finally forgot it at the gas station 😂This replacement came and works for under 5$. Couldn't be happier 😊

Bought a used car that came with a locking gas cap. The lock was on its last legs so I wanted to try and track down a cap without a lock. Tried one from Canadian Tire but it wouldn't work and the check engine light kept coming on. So I sadly went back to the half broken gas cap. Fortunately, I did some research and saw this type of gas cap recommended for that exact sensor issue. Popped it in and it works like a dream!

Works perfectly on the Nissan.The engine was flowing a engine code regarding pressure and I notice the gas cap had a small crack,replaced it with this one and the code is gone.

Quick Review:Wife's Aspen started throwing a code for a small emissions leak almost every time she filled up.I would clear the code with my scanner and all would be good until she filled up again.After 3-4 times I figured it was probably the gas cap. (very common on all makes and models)They occasionally crack or the seal can simply begin to fail.This was a cheap alternative to the OEM version and figured it was the cheapest and easiest 1st attempt to fix it.Worked like a charm and we have not thrown anymore MIL's.My only complaint is not with the product itself as it needs to be somewhat generic.Because of the way Chrysler attached our cap, this 1 can not be connected to the tether.May be able to drill the cap and adapt another tether but our factory one would not work.
