A layer of gel across the top gives an additional level of relief to the Cite X Gel. It was designed for recreational riders who spend a half day on the bike or less, ride nearly upright with lots of weight against the saddle, prefer the closest thing to a pillow or have significant lower back pain.

The product was good but my wife needed a saddle that didn’t put too much pressure on her bursitis and this one wasn’t as good as another we tried. The other was 1/3 the price too. She has a MTB though, so it may have been a different experience on a cruiser.

Application: Female 72 years, 5’5” ~133 lbs reasonably good physical condition and athletic; with total hip replacement in last 12 months.Purchase this saddle to be used in with new e-bike we are over 70, and with age it is important to search out best in class products to help mitigate ride discomfort during and after the ride. If you are new to cycling it is important to understand the three different saddle configurations 1) race/high performance, 2) touring and 3) cruising. This is a Touring Saddle configuration with additional construction configuration for comfort without lacking support. Saddle is well designed and constructed, very reasonable price point for this item.Note that the saddle is being used in conjunction with the active seat post by Suntour model SP12 NCX which provides up to max 50 mm of travel. It is important to note that the seat post has three different spring compression levels based on rider weight.Combination of both items delivers a superior riding experience. For best experience do your research there is more to understand and consider the above is a summary based on our experience.Enjoy your ride and do so safely.
