I'm glad I purchased one size up. The larger size fits perfectly. If I had gone with my normal waist size, these shorts would be too tight of a fit to wear when exercising.

Washed these in the machine when I got them, which was apparently a mistake. The trim/ banding shrunk so these are very odd looking now, like balloon curtains from the 1980's or "Sexy Mesh Men's Bloomers", lol. The description says machine washable and since they are polyester mesh I didn't think anything of it, but the paper care tag on these states "Hand Wash Cold" and "Line Dry In Shade". On a 100% polyester mesh short, that reads as "these are cheaply made and will fall apart if subjected to machine washing" to me.They will "unbunch" in time while moving if you pull/ rub flat the trim occasionally. The mesh is dual layered front and back (the matching shirt was only single layer) and the Large fits my 33" waist. The 1.5" waistband is fully covered, but does feel like the cheap stretch poly elastic that doesn't last long, fortunately there is a supplemental shoestring style drawstring. There are 2 small front side pockets. The sewing is average/ good for the price. I'm not sure if it is intentional or on accident, but the holes in the mesh layers line up, so these are semitransparent and "airier" than similar mesh shorts.These are stated to be 100% polyester, but I think the trim that was used (and shrank) may be cotton- it feels like cotton T-shirt fabric and less synthetic/ slick than the trim on the matching tanktop.These are "standard" bird eye mesh, like used by Hanes and Champion, not the square mesh style shown in the description pics, which is like a MS Paint rendering, lol.They aren't bad, but the only thing that makes them any different than other short inseam mesh workout shorts (the full outline trim) is screwy and apparently NOT Machine washable. That combined with the mismatch of what's shown (expectation) and what was received (reality) leave these shorts with a mid grade rating.

These shorts are perfect, super soft, sexy, and comfortable. The sizing is perfect and the craftsmanship is very good. I really like that the draw strings have metal tips at the end and that they are long. The shorts are super breathable thanks to the mesh so I've been sleeping in them and they have become my go nightwear. For the money you can't beat it, 5/5 stars!
