Very thorough kit with several high-quality needles and an excellent set of twine cutters. I used it for an upholstery repair, and the needle held strong the entire time—no bending like with cheaper alternatives. Highly recommend! Bonus points for the handy little storage box it comes in.

The needles included in this kit are very strong and the thread is durable. I'm using these for leather craft projects. The thread and needles are thick and could be difficult to use if you are unable to pre-punch the holes that will be sewn, but works well with pre-punched holes.

This sewing kit came up in my feed just in time. Our Giant Beasties have several giant beds. For some reason the blonde likes to dig in the corner – on each of the beds, (same corner). We try and watch him and stop it, but there were already holes before we caught him. Now we keep a watch on him, but, due to his age and his size, he is on one of the beds most of the time.I have been sailing – but know nothing about sails except they need to be strong and, if torn, the materials to repair them must be strong as well. Giant dog beds are expensive, and we do not want to buy another one if I can repair the holes Beasty Boy made. Their beds need to be strong – and repairs need to be strong as well.I started sewing in Jr. High and learned some things about waxed thread along the way – although I had forgotten about it until I saw this sewing kit. We became aware of the dog bed holes and I need to fix them before they get worse. One of them is already spitting out a piece of stuffing every once in a while.When we retired and moved about a thousand miles to be closer to the kids, we really purged our belongings and used an 18” truck. Some of my sewing supplies did not make the cut, including some heavy duty waxed thread I had, as well as some of my specialty needles.Waxed thread can be very strong. For repairing the dog beds I also needed curved needles. I ordered this kit and some additional needles so I could keep everything I needed together in one container in my sewing room. I am looking forward to getting the beds fixed on Monday. It should be a quiet day and we’ll have help manipulating the beds into a position that allows me to work on them.PS This worked great in fixing the dog beds. I added a couple of pictures.
