BOTTOM LINE: If, like us, you have a bunch of old travel and family event memories recorded back in the day on those little VHS-C camcorder tapes, then this little adapter can help you relieve them again, or play them one last time as you transfer your past onto digital formats to watch and share, without the worry of precious tapes getting eaten by a finicky old player, or image/sound degradation as those old tapes continue to age from sitting and infrequent use.THOUGHTS: I had one of these doohickey things years ago that came with my old camcorder. Recently, I decided to transfer some of the VHS-C tapes I had sitting in boxes in my office and convert some of their contents to digital format. But when I finally found the adapter (in my basement), it was covered in a nasty layer of rust & corrosion and would not even open, let alone work properly. Ugh! This new unit from BECBOLDF is a direct replacement. I popped in a AA battery, put a VHS-C inside of it and placed the adapter into my aging VCR, to test it. Worked like a charm!Wow, you don't really realize just how dated taped videotape footage looks, until you compare it side by side with stuff you film on your phone in HD nowadays. LOL! Still, it is important to get a lot of these great old memories converted before they're degraded so badly that they're lost forever. This adapter was a GREAT purchase for that specific purpose. I have dozens of tapes to go through. Once I transfer it all, with the help of this BECBOLDF adapter, I will begin the laborious process of editing hours of footage down to just "the good stuff" for posterity. It's been a blast just seeing some stuff I haven't watched in literally DECADES. Where does the time go??? This BECBOLDF adapter is a RECOMMENDED purchase.
