The first ring pulled from the bag was easy to bed and flex by hand. I have applied it to a 1/2" battery impact and it does hold the sockets better than the original retainer that it replaced, but the grab into the sockets isn't as strong as on a new gun. This is still less frustrating that having a socket fall off altogether, but it is by no means solidly mounted the way a new gun or new anvil holds.Good for home garage use or for the value of a large pack of replacement rings in a shop with many people beating up shop tools no matter the brand name or build quality.
