The proof is on the cover. As an author/writer, I always share my goals for the day, future goals and a quote. Each day, I will add something new, possibly a recipe or a YouTube Channel for do-it-yourself crafts or educational techniques. It's a great gift or something for yourself.

This journal is as beautiful as the other reviews say it is! There are tiny flecks of silver in the design, just enough to be pretty and not so much that it looks tacky if you don't like metallic accents. I have the camping logbook to record all of our campsites and I wanted a book that is the same size to record all of our hikes. This is the exact same size, shape, and build quality as that book so they will look awesome standing together on my shelf. I do wish that it was actually formatted for recording hikes, but that's not a big deal and might work out better anyway since sometimes the log format of the camping version has too big or not big enough blanks, depending on what I have to say about a place. I intend to come up with some sort of format to include the name of the trail, length, date we hiked it, etc., and then also include our thoughts and stories from each trail.

There's nothing quite like the teaming up of a design that looks Tolkien inspired, along with a philosophical quote, for the perfect diary. It's a good size, came wrapped in cellophane, and I can't wait to use it! Great quality. Excellent!

Very stylish notebook of real quality, front is slightly embossed. Kept one for myself and have given two as presents to women of very different ages, both were equally delighted with it.

And the design. It just makes you WANT to write in it!! Whether because you're journaling daily, or going on an extended trip and want to journal while your brain is out in the wilderness. I'm STILL kicking myself in the behind for NOT having a journal when I trekked in Nepal, the thoughts in my head that I L O S T over those two weeks!!! I regret it to this day.Don't fall for that, this is a beautiful book to have with you. Or gift the sentiment to someone close!
