It seems to fit ok. The stock one comes right off. There are no instructions with it. There are some videos on YouTube.Basically you open the gas door, and there is a small opening for a flat head screw driver and pry upward a little bit, when this is raised you just pull on the gas door away from the car.Getting the new one on is a bit of a pain. If it sticks out any you probably don’t have all 4 clips in properly.

Bought this one to replace another carbon fiber cover (from another website I won't mention $$$). The clear coat chipped away after a few years. Don't get me wrong this one is plastic and feels cheap but I'd rather pay this price than what I paid before, especially if I have to replace it every 4-5 years. Anyway... Didn't come with instructions or anything in box however a quick YouTube video later and it's installed. Super simple! Some people claimed to break the clips but just be patient and line it up right. I had no problems. Looks great!

I replaced a different non OEM gas cap off my old 2016 Mustang with this one after 4 years because the old one began to fade. So far this one has met all my expectations: Fits well, looks cool, functions correctly. I don't think this material will fade over time either because of the way it is constructed and love the carbon fiber look which also matches some interior components and my Ford Performance license plate frame . I wish the item would have been a little less pricey, but what can you say- life in 2022
