Review of ”Yinpecly 100pcs 1/8" Wire Rope Aluminum Crimping Sleeves and 50pcs M3 304 Stainless Steel Thimble...":(Please refer to my reviewing guidelines at the bottom of the page). We use wire rope for a number of things from 1/32" to 1/4" diameter though I've used 1" diameter when I was logging. This is a decent smaller selection of 1/8" double sleeves and thimbles with quality as expected, though it is priced on the high side of the market for the kit of 150 pieces. I need to give this product three stars because it is a good selection of pieces but at a somewhat higher price than comparable products. My responsibility as an Amazon Vine Reviewer:Considering the Amazon rules/regulations for being a Vine Member It is obvious that it is very important to Amazon that the person doing the review has indeed inspected, tested, used the product as well as being aware of the competitive situation of the market segment. This is so it can be fairly compared and reviewed whether good, bad, average, or anywhere in all of the grey area between. One thing that I wish were better defined by Amazon is exactly what each star should represent from 1 to 5 so that every Vine member would use the same guide in that regard. So, to let you know the guide that I use, I include it as follows:I always start off considering that average is 3 stars, and an average rating to me is:The product was correctly represented in the ad.The manufacturing quality is as expected. The product performed as intended. The product operating/user guide if needed is helpful. The product is priced accordingly. Then after inspection, measuring, testing, using, wearing, or whatever is requiredI add or subtract from the average as follows:Subject to additional stars:Additional product features not expected that are useful.Manufacturing quality/performance above what was stated or expected.Included guides and/or useful information that is beyond the norm.Product pricing highly competitive for a superior product.Subject to fewer stars:The product was misrepresented in the ad.Manufacturing quality/performance below what was stated or expected. No useful guide or understandable user information when required.Product pricing is on the high side considering quality, features, or the market.all the best,dr

When it comes to winter displays and lighting props, especially the kind that mean something—be it tradition, creativity, or a tribute—you want your setup to stay put no matter what the weather throws at it. These wire rope sleeves and thimbles have been exactly what I needed to make that happen.I anchor my displays with galvanized rope, and these little guys grip beautifully when appropriately crimped. I use a hydraulic crimper that could probably bend steel rebar, so a 200 lb load? Not even breaking a sweat. And yes, I always test the first sleeve in a set—press it, cross-cut it, and try to tear it loose. If I can’t yank it off, I know I can trust it. There are no disappointments here. The quality feels excellent for the price. The aluminum crimps are uniform, thick enough to bite into the cable, and seat cleanly with the right die. The stainless thimbles match perfectly with 1/8" wire rope and help keep the cable from fraying under tension. They’re sturdy, well-machined, and make for smooth loops that can take some real pull. The storage box could use some toughening up, but it keeps the parts organized just fine. The value here is hard to beat if you're doing multiple anchors, fencing, trellises, or just having extra hardware on hand when inspiration (or wind) strikes.Whether you’re stringing lights, setting up wire fencing, or building snare poles (hey, no judgment—feral pigs are a thing), this kit gets the job done and does it well. Just bring the proper crimper and a little patience, and these will hold strong for seasons to come.

My wife and I recently took on the task of putting up 200 feet of string lights to brighten up our backyard between multiple trees and next to our fire pit. The last time we tried to do this we used one of those connectors that require you to have a wrench as well as a lot of patience to feed the wire through and then tighten it down. Those types of fasteners lasted us a solid three years and did a good job, but they were frustrating to put up and couldn't be done on the pole while you were doing everything else. These fasteners required us to get the crimp but it was worth the investment as it made the process of putting up the wires themselves fast and efficient and for each one of the points that secured to a pole we had everything locked down in less than 30 seconds as opposed to 5 minutes with the other fasteners. It became a clip the wire, feed it through the fastener, use the crimp to lock it down, attach carabiner and you were off to the next connection point. With this set we had about 30 lines with two fasteners each crimped and done in a single afternoon. I will say that the loops that you could have used for us were not necessary because we used heavy gauge wiring which made Their use unnecessary. But I still have about 40 fasteners that can be used for the next project.
