not a woder product for leaks with a lot of pressure but sticks good to it's sel good- trying to fix a pressure washer leak in my hose was a bit much to ask

I used this as a second attempt to stop a slow leak in my kitchen sink. I followed the instructions and still had a leak. I cut off all the tape and started again and still had a leak. I threw out the remainder of the product and tried a third option.

While listed as "duct tape", this tape can be used on a wide variety of applications.It's important to understand that this tape doesn't have an adhesive, instead, it sticks to itself.This product actually does go by a few names "self-amalgamating tape", “self-vulcanizing tape”, "self-adhesive silicone tape", etc.You can use this tape around cables, hoses, pipes, etc. and it does offer waterproofing.Compared to something like electric tape, I find this tape to be more delicate and susceptible to cuts. So, it's not an abrasion resistant tape.If you understand which applications it works well with, then this tape is as good as any other of the same type.At under $9.99, it's a fair value, too.

This is a great tape for creating softer gripping handles. I used this on barbells in my home gym for a better grip. The great part of this tape is it sticks permanently to itself and it holds on very strong. This tape can be stretched around whatever you're wrapping and conform to the shape. I have also used this on cables where it was cut and requires a waterproof seal. Since the adhesion is permanent and it's nearly impossible to unwrap once bonded to itself, the only way to remove this is to cut it off.
