I have tried 3 other heaters for my 36 bow front tank and they either run hotter than they read or much colder than they read….i have had this one in for 2 weeks and it’s been spot on the whole time. Highly recommend this company!!!

I have a 1000g cichlid pond in south florida so from like december-march it gets relatively cold and the water would get in the 60s if I didn’t use any heaters… and tropical fish can’t live in temps that cold, so i’ve been using heaters every year. Since I started with much smaller indoor tanks, I had a heater already and it was essentially a glass tube with a dial on the top for like $30. It was a 500 and it got the point where I always had to use 4 or 5, sometimes 6, just to keep the temp above 75° .. and I began to feel like it was getting ridiculous with that many heaters and cords everywhere.Imagine my surprise when I found something like this, twice the power of just one of my old heaters, with a much more elaborate digital setup, digital thermometer included, all for less money than what I had before. I took out my 5-6 heaters and replaced them with 3 of these, and even though it hadn’t gotten cold yet this year, I am confident the fish will be very comfortable this winter.I was troubleshooting with one of the heaters and the rep from the company told me to put the heater in a smaller body of water to see if it heated up the water.. so I put it in a large stainless steel stock pot and ten mins later the water was so hot I was actually shocked. Obv I turned it up very high for that, but still I didn’t expect the water to be THAT hot in just ten mins. My old heaters could never!!!Lol and besides that, the physical heater itself doesn’t get hot like other do, so it will not burn your fish or whatever animal you have. It actually blows hot air out of the sides and works that way. Very smart because I swear i’ve seen a burn mark on a big fish before from the other heaters. They would get very hot to the touch, and that always worried me bc sometimes they will literally huddle around the heaters 😭So besides this being much more cost efficient and safer for animals, it’s not that much more expensive that a top dial heater. I would never buy a top dial heater again, even if I set up an indoor tank. I would 100% buy either this model or something very similar if it was on sale. This is much more practical for large tanks than multiple 500s.

IntroductionThe AQQA Aquarium Heater is a submersible heating device designed to maintain optimal water temperatures in a variety of aquatic environments. This study aims to evaluate the performance and effectiveness of the AQQA Aquarium Heater in a large-scale outdoor aquaponic system.MethodologyA 200-gallon outdoor aquaponic system was used as the experimental setup. The AQQA Aquarium Heater, rated at 500W, was installed in the water reservoir, and its performance was monitored over a period of three weeks during the onset of the winter season. Water temperature, power consumption, and heating efficiency were recorded daily.ResultsThe AQQA Aquarium Heater demonstrated consistent and reliable performance throughout the study period. The dual digital display provided accurate readings of both the set temperature and real-time water temperature, allowing for precise control of the aquatic environment. The heater's rapid heating capabilities were particularly impressive, effectively raising the water temperature to the desired level within a short timeframe. This was attributed to the use of explosion-proof quartz tubes and high-temperature resistant nickel-chromium alloy heating wires. The intelligent overheating protection feature proved to be a valuable safety measure, preventing the water temperature from exceeding the preset limit. The indicator light clearly indicated the heater's operational status, providing visual confirmation of its performance. The AQQA Aquarium Heater's memory function was also a convenient feature, allowing the user to maintain the desired temperature setting even after power interruptions.DiscussionThe AQQA Aquarium Heater proved to be an effective and reliable tool for maintaining optimal water temperatures in a large-scale outdoor aquaponic system. Its precise temperature control, rapid heating capabilities, and safety features make it a suitable choice for a variety of aquatic environments. The heater's ability to accurately maintain the desired water temperature is crucial for the health and well-being of aquatic organisms. By providing a stable and consistent environment, the AQQA Aquarium Heater contributes to the overall success of the aquaponic system.ConclusionBased on the findings of this study, the AQQA Aquarium Heater is a highly recommended device for maintaining optimal water temperatures in outdoor aquaponic systems. Its combination of performance, reliability, and safety features make it a valuable asset for aquaponic enthusiasts.Future StudiesFurther research could explore the AQQA Aquarium Heater's performance in different aquatic environments, such as freshwater and saltwater tanks of varying sizes.
