Articulate and accurate, these headphones are already the workhorse phones in my studio. Perfect for mixing with mid-detailed sound that really helps in balancing tonality and mix, call them NS-10's for your head. Comfortable to wear all day long and not fatiguing. Really good imaging and even, un-hyped sound across the spectrum the Hi-x 55 will definetely show up flaws in your mix, helping you set your best foot forward. Mixes balanced on these phones will let your production shine in their best light.

I've got a quality stereo separates system. This pair of headphones brings out the nuance of every recording in a way I didn't think was possible.You may not always like what you hear; these headphones are very unforgiving of poor quality sources. For example they may spoil (or at least cause you to reappraise) your enjoyment of bedroom productions, or old live recordings.I absolutely love them. After an initial period during which I was quite fearful of them, I've become used to their sound, and now use them as my daily driver headphones. Utter luxury.They're heavy on your head; I'm able to tolerate wearing other headphones for hours (eg Sony WH1000-XM2), but these are not all-day headphones. Comfort depends on the size of your noggin, the lushness of your tresses and the cartilaginousness of your ear lugs.

Una cuffia ben calibrata dal suono ampio e coinvolgente con una buona sensibilita' e fedelta'.Se dovessi ricomprarla per un regalo non avrei dubbi la ricomprerei.La fattura e' ottima e la comodita' alta......bella da vedere e....sembra anche robusta.

Headphones arrived much faster that expected, great because I was excited to begin using them. These are some of the finest headphones made, construction is near all metal and leather and they are solid with a stable but unnoticeable clamping pressure. I took them to a local audio store to audition a new DAC and the sales people were really impressed with the clarity, imaging and responsiveness of my Hi-X55 cans. I could not be happier with this purchase. I have now had them on for the past 6 hours and may listen for another 4 hours because they sound so good and are disappear as the sound stage unfolds. It is fantastic to rediscover my music collection, these cans are like a window into sound!
