I use a DA daily for up to 8 hours a day some days and I’m very respectful of my tools. This DA out of the box isn’t that terrible, it’s the constant use that causes it to become junk. First the vibration gets really bad, causes you to loose your feeling after a while and is more of a shake at your wrist than on the pad. Second it has a really bad issue with gumming up, I have had other DAs that I have never had to oils, but if you don’t oil this one on the trigger then it will stick open and can cause you to scuff something that was not intended. The air control is built in like most of the other orbital sanders on the market, but this one is very on or off. For the price it’s fair, but for a little more some of the other ones come with less vibration, more precision when it comes to air and speed and better build quality preventing build up of particles. For reference I am a full time auto body technician/ painter I use these tools a lot.

Smooth and powerful, really an impressive machine. Easy to use, light, and so quiet I thought i was broken at first.I can't imagine buying another.

Having had this for a while now and using it in the shop at work, I really like it. It`s everything the description says it is. Light, fast, quiet, ergonomic. The 6 inch pad I like too- with no residue comes off the back of the sandpaper- sticking onto it (seems to have a plastic film like quality to it, unlike other ones). It`s flexible to a degree yet seems very flat, unlike some of the orbitals in the shop which seem to be 'high centered'. Recommended top air pressure is 95 CFM but if you crank it up it`ll really get the thing spinning, but it says it can damage the 'motor' or bearings in it. I keep the line at 95 and all air tools seem to work fine at that pressure. A few drops of air tool oil throught the day for longevity and it should keep it happy. I dig it, it`s the best (imo) orbital in the shop. And I can be pretty critical.
