Bought the large for my daughter who is typically a size 12-14 in pants (Old Navy, Target, etc typical brands) and these were EASILY more like a 16-18. Length was right, but she was swallowed by the waste. A belt couldn't even help these. Ordered the medium, and they worked well. So good pair of pants, just run very large.

My kids love them, they use them pretty much everywhere, school, backpacking, hiking, play. Pay attention to the size, I had to return one and replace it but all was smooth

Pants are great but zipper came off in first use and won’t go back on. Would have returned but they were muddy and well worn on first go.
