I received a message that it was delivered by Canada post on Friday but I wasn’t home. That was false, mailbox was empty. I called Canada post on Monday and they said delivery card for pickup will be in mailbox that day, Monday. We picked it 7p on Tuesday. Items look great. I think my seven year old granddaughter will love it. She wants a science area setup in their rec room area. Cute. So, won’t know how it works until later in the month.

due to covid it has been really difficult to procure an inverted microscope, so I bought this little guy! its PERFECT for checking my petri dishes/cell culture dishes of cancer cells to see if they have reached confluency. it's obviously child sized and therefore not very comfortable to use for long periods of time, but I am SO GRATEFUL because I couldn't be doing my PhD work without it right now!! If it works well for my research, I am sure it is more than suitable for children! :)

My husband &I spent days deciding which microscope to buy for my niece who is only 7 but ahead of others her age. We decided on this one because she has talked about liking science since she could converse and we want to foster that desire. Also she lives with grandpa who is a professor and dr and shared her interests.Anyhow, my point is we wanted something more advanced so she could be happy with it for a few years. We also did research on how home microscopes were rated by science groups..not ads. This was the obvious choice, and it's great. It comes with lots of slides to prepare as well as already prepared samples. The blue slide is showing an amoeba dividing. The world is a fantastic wonderland to be explored and explained with some technological assistance. I'm so glad we were able to get this quality gift ..an investment in our future..the future that is a child's ambition and education. Kids learn how to care for nice things when they experience hands on with them and practice handling them with care and respect for fine workmanship..it's so much more than playing with toys. This is made well ..not cheap or flimsey.its a real microscope! I hope I've helped you select something your recipient will some day pass along to his or her young scientists and seekers curious about what makes things happen. It's an investment in our future.

I bought it in advance for my child’s birthday. I wish I had opened to inspect it right away and now I am outside the return window. It came with a blemish that I cannot figure out where it’s coming from and it is right in the center of all the images. Other than that it’s easy to use and feels pretty sturdy.

This was a gift for my daughter's 8th birthday. She's able to use it independently and spent hours looking at all the samples that came with it. We bought blank slides and petri dishes now and will start doing the experiments in the book.

This microscope is Awsome. I bought it for my four year old and we do scavenger hunts to find insects and see them through the microscope. What I like about this product is that it won’t break easily and I can see the picture super clear. No matter what age you are I think you’ll enjoy being a scientist with it.

So my son was so happy when he got this for his birthday. Unfortunately it's missing 2 color of glass the red and yellow one. It also was dirty had a thumb print on it before I could take pics of it my son was already cleaning it. For the price I paid it's cheep plastic. Please don't waste your money. I bought this because of the great reviews but not worth the price.Thank you

It works. But it is super cheaply made. All in plastic. We paid 123$; it’s worth max 50$.

We were so excited to get this microscope. We had never used an inverted microscope before, but absolutely love that we can use this with both slides and petri-dishes to look at pond water samples. It's great that the microscope is light weight and can be transported easily right out to the pond and set up at the picnic table for a great outdoor classroom experience. My order arrived two days early and everything in the picture was included. It is a great kit with everything needed for aspiring young scientists. We especially love the the Usborne book that is included. The view and magnification work great and the included slides are high quality and interesting. We look forward to many fun times and plan to order the digital camera from Amscope so we can take videos of all the fun little creatures we are finding.
