Tip: For many of the cheaper economy digital microscopes available, mounting this moveable stage on a ½” thick white plastic or acrylic base cut to fit works well.I’ve ended up with several digital microscopes, but some of the cheaper or lower power scopes don’t have movable stages. I got this stage to enable more precise viewing and it works well for this price. I was genuinely surprised at the machining, smoothness, and quality at this price point. I had some scrap white plastic sheeting about ½” thick and cutting one down to fit on the base of my microscope worked. This is a nice and economical upgrade to your microscope, though not necessarily simple unless your microscope stage is pre-pinned and pre-threaded to accept the base. My only very minor complaints were that the X-Y adjustment knobs were greasy and also rotated slightly off-axis (though not noticeable at all by feel, only visually). My only concern is that some of the parts might be steel instead of stainless steel and may rust, but I’ll update my review regarding that if needed. Otherwise this so far looks like a great moveable stage upgrade for your microscope at an entry-level cost.

I wasn't totally sure this would mount properly on my cheap Amscope microscope, but it seems like it uses a standard mount of a single screw with pins on either side. The only thing that's weird is that because of how it's oriented, I can't lower the slide platform as far as before, because the mechanical stage collides with the coarse focus knob... However, otherwise it's great, and both knobs turn smoothly. It seems like it's pretty thoroughly greased, which helps with the smooth movement, but it also means that the knobs are a bit greasy.... Overall I'm happy with it though.

You'll need to tighten the screws before use since they are all not tightened fully, making the unit shake. It fit my amscope monocular children/student microscope- although I needed to change one of the screws to allow a full range of mobility (the screw it came with was too bulky and would not allow for close focus). Plus I had to push on the unit to get it to fit into the holes on the stage. It would not fit onto my swift research grade triocular microscope.this product uses gears instead of the typical ball bearings you see on microscopes. The gears cause the movements to be small, slow, and a low of work to view the whole slide.my advice: it's cheap for a reason. You're better off buying a more expensive mechanical stage.

Very pleased. Moving objects by hand under high magnification is difficult. This smoothly and precisely moves slides around for great viewing.
