Works great! Good quality, I seperated two ball joints with no problems at all, metal didn't mushroom or flatten. Good product, spacing is nice on the fork. Vehicle worked on was a Honda Odyssey.

The stepped feature seems to work. The fork does not bounce out of the joint when your hitting it. However on the first use the corner of the fork had significantly rounded and after another few uses the other side dented pretty easily.The material is pretty soft. I love lisle tools but for the price I paid compared to bottom shelf ball joint separators, I will be buying an inexpensive one next time since this one likely wont last much longer than those anyway.

Although this has a made in China stamp, its performance is solid (I only mention this because, I have scares from using other brand tools that are made there). It is refreshing to see that this was made to the traditional Lisle Standards from many decades ago. I just used it on 4 Chevypickups removing the tierod . It gave me high confidence as I hit it hard with a 5lb hammer to remove some very hard to loosen tie rods. I recently had an email exchange with one of Lisle Corp customer service staff. Their communications is prompt, professional, and most importantly informative. EdW

This tool is not Chinesiam metal it's 100% top grade steel and it's made in the USA. I hammered on this thing for an entire weekend and a complete front end replacement on my silverado, I bet I could return it as never used brand new!
