Napco element had smaller coils than the other ones that I had tried Less expansion, and no droopy coils shorting out the element! Those other cheap trash could learn a thing or two from Napco!

Note: our dryer uses a moisture sensor for the 'more dry' feature. This sensor simply mounts/plugs onto the heating element. This sensor is NOT included with the replacement heating element. It is very easy to swap from the original element to the replacement. Simply use a screw driver to carefully pry it free from the spade connector on the original element, and slide it into place on the replacement element. DO NOT THROW ANYTHING AWAY UNTIL THE JOB IS FINISHED. If you toss the original element before the replacement arrives, you could easily overlook this sensor and toss it too.Dryer stopped producing heat. Pulled it apart, tested the heating element, and it was dead. Was able to find the break in the coil wire. After 13 years, I cannot complain.Dryer is a Whirlpool.This item was an almost exact match to the original Whirlpool part. It fit just as well as the original. No complaints. It has been in place for over a month now and no problems/failures. So far so good. Hopefully it outlasts the rest of the dryer.Cheap fix if you are handy.Gave it no stars for longevity as it hasn't been in place long enough to make a call. But, it worked just fine right out of the box. Coil count looks to be the same and the wire appears to be of the same gauge. I expect it to last a long time.

I choose the fastestdelivery and it was delivery within 4 days. The item was exactly what I needed to repare my dryer. I recommend this element if you have a Kenmore dryer. It took me only half hours to fix it.

I have been in the appliance repair biz for 38 years and have found that usually OEM parts are better then the aftermarket parts but in the case of this dryer element I feel the Napco brand is far better then the Whirlpool FSP part.The Whirlpool OEM elements often fail because the element detaches from the porcelin hold downs and shorts against ground, sometimes even causing the element to stay on when the drum is not turning and causing fires.The Napco brand locks the element to the porcelin insulators in a more secure fashion making it much less likely to detach and shorting to ground.As for other reviews claiming short life, I have been installing the Napco brand for years and have not had a single failure. Most of the time, short life on heating elements is due to poor venting, so be sure to keep your vents cleaned.Also for the "BUY USA" crowd, The Whirlpool OEM part is made in Mexico, The Napco is made in the USA.

My dryer had gradually started taking longer to dry the clothes until one day it dry them at all and didn't get hot. If you are wondering if its the heating element or some other little part, you will see a break in one of the coils and it only takes a few mins to take the back cover off the dryer to look. As others have said, save your old coil, you will need to use the overheat sensor off of it. There's no instructions, but you can easily find step by step and video instructions all over the internet. All you need is a screwdriver. I did job myself in less than 10 mins. I've had this coil in my dryer for a little over a month now, and it is now working great! I'm glad I went with a "generic" instead of spending $80 at whirlpool. Best price around by a mile! Easy transition, fast shipping, product was well packaged and arrived safely 2 days early! (When you need your dryer, you need it now!) I'm a happy customer and I would buy from this seller again! Thank you!

I have no issues with the product. It works fine, installed fine.Since there is no Prime shipping, the estimated time of arrival was not definite. Delivery date was sketchy, with a time frame of 1 to 2 weeks. In reality, it took about 4 days. It shipped Monday, and it arrived Friday. Just in time for laundry.If you're not in a hurry, by all means, go for it. I ALMOST thought I had to go to the local Laundromat to dry my clothes, if the item didn't come in time.So, compare 30$ price for this item, to the 60$ locally.. see if the wait is worth the 30$ savings. I think if the item had not come when it did, I would have paid the 60$ to get it the same day locally (if available).Part is great replacement, no complaints. Dryer works as it should.First time a non Prime item was not specific on delivery time. I actually thought this was going to be my first negative experience on Amazon. . But it wasn't. Overall, I am happy it came on time for me to install it for weekend's laundry chores.Thanks guys.
