I previously bought a smaller unit for a portable camping shower I have, thinking that smaller would be best for space/weight saving. While it does the job and I will continue to use it for camping, this one is so much better. It provides a lot more water pressure to the shower unit and the resulting shower is great, rather than just okay. I use this one when I am at the cabin and leave it attached to the wall and water barrel, ready to hook up to the portable shower when I bring it in. The power draw on the deep cycle battery is not bad at all, provided you don’t take very lengthy showers. It will also power up a good spray from a hose pipe and I plan on using it for a toilet when I get one installed in the cabin. I can’t speak for all of the needs in an RV but it is working great for my simple camper and at the cabin for my showering and washing needs. Impressed with this pump - not a lot more cost and bulk for a significant improvement over anything smaller.

I replaced the new factory fresh water pump in my toy hauler ( 3GPM) with this pump, dealership said there was nothing wrong with my old pump but it wouldn't pull any antifreeze to winterize. I believe it had a small crack in the inlet side and was sucking air. As soon as I connected up this pump it sucked a whole jug of RV antifreeze through the trailer in seconds. I have never had a completely silent water pump as it doesn't exist but this one is decent. Unfortunately it mounts right under the master bedroom so if I ever go off grid running water for the toilet or washing hands will have some noise to it. Maybe I will make a cover for it to deaden the noise a bit. Only took a minute to hook up to my existing system and it was running. My local dealership wanted $263 for the Shurflo 3gpm replacement. I can buy 2 of these and a case of adult beverages for the price of 1 pump. I would definitely recommend this pump.
