I got this to have a portable chair that did not take up much room and that would allow for greater mobility while sitting with reaching. We like to go to the river to look for fossils and having something to sit on that still lets you bend and dig is really helpful. It is very light weight and folds up easily, however putting the cover for the chair on to the 3 spokes is very challenging. It does adjust in height to several different options which allows a greater range of support and reaching ability when seated. It is pretty stable if on solid ground but for soft ground it sinks pretty fast and the rubber tip on the end is easily pulled off and lost. I did get a wide base to stick on it to distribute pressure and that seems to help with the sinking. It folds up easily if the seat mesh is not attached, but will not fold completely unless you take off the seat. Overall a good chair that could use a couple of improvements but meets our needs for what we wanted with some minor changes.

Arrived intact and on time. Very light and compact. Problem is the seat is very very difficult to set up. I buy this mainly to use it as a temporary seat when I get tired while visiting museums. The hassle I need to go through every time when I need to set it up as a seat is not worth the benefit of portability. I decided to return it.

Overall, I like this stool, and will definitely get use out of it. I bought it for use at outdoor concerts, where people stand throughout - yes, at 66 I still occasionally attend this kind of concert! Last time I attended one of these 1.5 hour events, I had a sore back and stiff legs for a few days afterwards. I did take a regular 3-legged stool for the breaks, but couldn't see anything without standing. I think this will work well, with one minor nit. I am 5'10, 32" inseam. At full extension, this stool is about 2 inches short for me - definitely useful, but it would've been more helpful if it were tall enough for me to be fully up - to allow for seeing over more people. That said, for a slightly shorter person, or person with worse balance, this might be beneficial. Note: it is adjustable for shorter, just not taller.
