Great item. Had a flooding problem in my garage and this helped tremendously. Highly recommend. Need an extension hose which I did not purchase.

Excellent down spout basin. My only complaint would be the reduced outlet which is 3in. Was thinking to tie this in to the new drainage system which is 4in. Can still be done with adapters still there is the bottle neck issue. This is made to be used as a extension diverter for downspouts that don't enter a drainage system underground, I should have realized this due to the side port, but was planning on putting into the ground. You could definately make this work for that kind of setup- with some adapter parts. I am trying this out on a down spout which is currently causing alot of erosion on a slope ( where there is no drainage pipe to hook into currently). We haven't had any big rain yet to really see how it will perform but from hose tests it is diverting well and able to reach to flatter ground we just have the hose above ground currently.. for longer diversion use of pop up or a second grate for water to overflow upwards through a second grate you would want to bury this or would need a second grate box. 3in expandable hose is available n various types to extend for longer reach if needed. Great way to divert water to gardens and trees, or to stop erosion and puddling issues. This box can be used as permanent install or easily moved around and the hose pulled back for mowing - depending on your circumstancee/layout. Overall this is a versatile box that can work for a variety of situations and adapted to an even broader set. The box itself is strong and durable I am happy with the product. The biggest thing to understand is that is does not have the standard outlet size - at least that I am used to working with which is 4inch. As long as that is understood buyers should be happy with the product. I feel this might be a surprise though since most products for drainage pipes are typically 4in.

I really needed some downspouts to help around my house, but I’m not sure if this is the best choice for me. It feels like cheap plastic so I’m not sure how long it will hold up. It was easy to install but I feel like it needs to be done better due to standing water. I’m unable to get it to drain completely after a rain. I wanted to like this one, but I think I’ll go with a different one.
