My step-father is a big wine guy. I noticed he didn't have a nice wine opener in his new house, just the little foldable ones. So, the search began for a great Christmas gift for him. I settled on the RBT Electric Corkscrew Wine Opener after reading some reviews. I remember receiving the Rabbit Original Lever Corkscrew Wine Opener a few years ago and remember it was a good product; sturdy, well-made, and most imporantly worked well. Well, now that everything is electronic and my step-father is kind of a techy guy, so I thought this Electric Corkscrew would be a great gift. Ordered it and it came just fine in terms of packing and shipping. Gave it to him as an early present and we opened a few bottles of wine. The thing worked, a little annoying you have to grip the bottle so hard (the coaster thing is useless). It runs out of battery. We go to plug it in and BAM! Just gently plugging the charger into the top of the corkscrew breaks off the receiver inside the device and it's toast. Being sensible, I remember it was still within the return window. So I package it up and return it. No problem; they send me a new one (that didn't have the charger break upon first use). Well, lo and behold, fastforward to two charges later and the thing won't turn the right way to go into the bottle. It only turns counter-clockwise to unscrew. Hit the little reset button on the top. Still doesn't screw clockwise. Well, after punching in a cork trying to get the thing to work, I gave up and will never use the thing again. Wish I'd just bought the RBT Black Brass Tabletop Corkscrew Puller. At least there's nothing electric with that. What a WASTE OF MONEY. TWO DEFECTIVE DEVICES. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS PIECE OF JUNK.

These are the exact same ones that they sell at Crate and Barrel. But better price and better shipping here from Amazon. Win win. They fit in any kind of bottle - wine, champagne, water, beer, anything like that. Nice and heavy, cool looking, and great as a gift.

Recently my wife developed a pinched nerve and besides shooting pain down her left arm, caused weakness in her arm and has trouble opening wine bottles.So rather than being totally reliant on me to kick off Mommy Time Out, picked up this gem!Pros:- Looks Nice- Opens Wine Bottles with ease- Rechargeable- Uses Micro USB Cable (got tons of those lying around!)Con- The brass portion picks up fingerprints - so you do need to wipe it down if you plan on "displaying" itThis does come with a foil cutter that is part of the cap that hides the usb charging port and works as it should.Time to pop open another bottle? Sure Hun!

I'm always in the market for a great cocktail shaker. This one sure does look pretty, but its a complete dud. The lid flew off mid shake, drink went everywhere. Even when I held the lid securely to the base, liquid leaked out (again making a mess everywhere). I recommend looking elsewhere.
