There is nothing to dislike, this tailpiece is comprised of thicker material, better gold plating and I think you'd agree the design compliments the instrument. I believe the tone is even improved a bit. I took it to a luthier who did have to fill and redrill. If the original holes don't line up, unless you are experienced definately have a luthier install it.

After reading the reviews, it's apparent that the tailpiece on this instrument is often defective. I replaced the tailpiece on mine to solve the always falling off problem. Other than the tiny, short screws that came with the replacement tailpiece, it was a perfect fit and the installation was easy (used the original screws). Looks nice, too -- happy with this purchase.
