I decided to try this pair of headphones mainly for mixing since my Audio-technica ATH-M20X lacks bass for this purpose. It seemed like those would be the perfect add-on to what I already have.Included in the packaging are the headphones themselves, a storage case, a 3.5mm cable with a lock on the headphone end, a 3.5 to 6.35mm adapter and a user manual. They have a 50mm dynamic driver which is great to reproduce a high range of frequencies and are closed-back. There are no buttons on the headphones themselves since they are not wireless and don’t offer any kind of active noise cancelling.Concerning the audio quality, I am very surprised by what they offer. They are almost spot on for my needs and close enough for accurate mixing. There is bass and nice sub bass that is nicely present, but just a bit too loud. The mids are very neutral and clear, which is great if you are mixing rock or metal. Sometimes, the mids have strange boosted frequencies, but nothing bad to my ears with them. The highs are clean, well balanced and not aggressive at all. If there’s a lot of cymbals or hi hats in what you’re listening or mixing, it won’t take over the rest of the frequencies. They are comfortable to wear over a long time. The cushions are comfortable and keep their shapes after use. They are also thick enough that my ears don’t touch the inside of the cup. The frame is mainly made out of plastic with the adjustment band made out of metal. I would say that this is the single weak part of the product, but not a deal breaker at all.All in all, they actually exceeded my expectations. If you plan on using them for mixing, they are actually what you need. I think this will become my main pair of headphones when not using my monitors. I highly recommend them!

I wasn't expecting much at this price, but the Talomen W50X headphones are completely impressive. The sound is clean and clear with a great balance all across highs, mids, and bass. Bass isn't extremely punchy (so maybe not for extreme bass fans), but it's clean and natural sounding—perfect for mixing, light listening, or long listening sessions where accuracy is more important than bombast.Comfort is excellent. Earpads are soft and clamping force is just right—not too loose but not too tight. I wore them for hours at a time without pressure points or ear fatigue. The construction is mostly plastic, but it is robust, and the folding headband with removable cable and supplied hard case are travel and storage plus. The long cable does feel a tad excessive for in-the-morning-commuting purposes, but is ideal for studio rigs or being plugged directly into an amp or interface. Having the cable with a locking system is nice to have, also—no nasty yanks off the bench there. My sole honest nit is the relatively limited earcup rotation—can't lay flat on shoulders—but that's a minor point. Overall, these sound like a steal at under $90. Ideal for bedroom producers, DJs, or just anyone looking for great-sounding, reliable wired headphones without breaking a paycheck.

These W50X closed back headphones from Talomen feature 50mm diameter drivers with a 10Hz to 32kHz frequency response range. Constructed of lightweight matte black plastic, predominantly except for the aluminum outside earcups and the sliding headband section. The headband features light padding with a soft protein leather band, as are the earpads. I found the earpads to be on the smaller size with my ears making some contact. That said, I wouldn't say they were uncomfortable and I didn't experience too much heat build up during my time testing them.Note, while the earcups can swivel 180° on the hinge, they don't rotate forward or back so won't sit flat on your neck if you prefer that style. I thought the white Talomen logo on each earcup was a little large and over-emphasized to my personal preference, but your opinion may vary. That comment aside, the headset can fold up to a fairly compact footprint for storage in the provided grey hardshell headphone case, which was a nice included accessory for travel and storage. The 3M long headphone cord was both soft, flexible and features a 3.5mm connector with a screw on 1/4 adapter on one end and a twist in connection on the headphone left earcup. While I appreciate the long cable when at home, it's not really suited for outdoor travel given the excessive length. You'll likely want to source a short headset cable if your plans are to take these headphones for commuting.Overall, I found the build quality to be a little too plastic. With a plastic 90° folding mechanism, the earcup arms will likely become a point of weakness long-term. However, they didn't exhibit any major creaking when stretched, and the clamping force wasn't excessive, even if you wear glasses. In terms of sound, while this may be a function of not testing them long enough to burn in the 50mm drivers, if you believe in that methodology, I found the Talomen signature sound to be more treble-leaning and clinical out of the box. After burning them in over a few listening sessions, I'm happy to report the treble fatigue is gone and the bass improves notably. So, if you are a bass-head, the W50X won't be for you, however, if you prefer a more natural bass, they will tick that box fine. The soundstage was also fairly closed in my opinion and while not horrible, I would say it was pretty standard. Regarding noise isolation, the W50X does a pretty good job as a closed back headphone design.Priced just below $90 at the time of this review, I think this headphone may be priced a bit more premium than the actual performance would dictate versus the competitors. The $75 to $100 price range is competitive with some notable name brand models competing in this space as well, so you may wish to watch for a discount if you are considering the W50X. Overall, still a consideration given the "good" build quality, good frequency response (on paper) and included accessories - just likely worth watching for a deal.

TL;DR: I'm very happy with these headphones overall, and would definitely recommend them. Sound quality and comfort are both great. These are good wired headphones for $50.--SOUND: The sound quality is very nice. Lows, mids, and highs all sound clear and are well-balanced. I can clearly hear both loud and quiet sounds. It doesn't feel like the bass is too overblown, as I've seen other headphones do to cover for lacking quality.COMFORT: These are very comfortable headphones with thick, pillowy earpads. The arms extend pretty far on both sides, and the earcups swivel along a wide range. The top of the arms is also padded, so everywhere that touches your head feels nice and not stiff.DURABILITY: These seem to be well-built; high-wear areas, like the arms, are reinforced with metal. It makes me a bit nervous that the audio cable from the left to the right ear goes outside of the arm, but I haven't had any problem with it so far. It feels well-built as well and has a braided exterior, so as long as you're careful, everything should be fine.CABLE: These headphones come with one 3.5mm AUX cable and a 1/4" adapter. The included cable locks into the headphone end, helping to prevent it from being ripped out; too much force will still rip it out, though, so be careful! I found that the cable length was adequate for my use case, running to my PC under my desk - not too long, not too short.
