The tool comes with no assembly instruction. The shaft that holds the chuck is two inches longer then it should be so the chuck it’s self goes 3 inches lower then magnetic base. Your ability to change bits with base locked is only 4.3 inches. When the speed is turn down to what i would drill at it is so labored I doubt it will last. Other then that the direction to adjust guide pressures is inadequate.. on the posative side the machine seem sturdy and heavy as i would expect. I am returning mine so i can replace it with one that the chuck doesnt go lower then base and actually has enough room to change drill bits

So far so good I purchased mag drill without cutters because they only come metric it holds on 1/4 in plate with paint and reflective strips extremely well drilled several 1 in holes no problems. 1 1/2 in hole in 5/8 plate no problem I like it better every time I use it
