I’ve only used an oblong-type spreader before, but the two parallel jaws of the ZOMIYU tool moved smoothly and effectively to help widen the gap on the knuckle I was working on. The build quality is decent, and the option to use a 3/8” ratchet, instead of a 19mm wrench is nice. Less a few nicks and scratches, the red anodized chrome molybdenum held-up well.Note that depending on your vehicle, you may or may not have enough space to use this tool, so you’ll want to plan ahead. Made in China.

This strut spreader was very abviously used before it was sent to me. The red finish is pretty much completely gone wherever it made contact with what the spreader was used on. The black finish is still OK. There are thin little pins in there to limit travel. The pin limiting maximum travel could be positioned a bit better to get another mm or two of travel.This spreader has an OK design but the manufacturing/build is horrible.
