Bought this kit to remove a tie rod end from a Mitsu ùoutlander front knuckle. The push screw bent… great kits work without heating the knuckle - I was trying to free the knuckle to install a wheel besring. Ended up having to heat the knuckle to help the tool do its work, basically cooking the tie rod end grease pocket. It did the job at the end, but I had to replace the tie-rod end.

Disnt fit anything I tried to use it for when swapping out knuckles and ball joints. This kit is made for a small Japanese car, not a domestic vehiclelike a Dodge.

Was hoping these service tools can ease my ball joint replacements. The tool looks and feels heavy-duty to tackle the job. Under pressure, the pin that holds the top and bottom parts starts to bend before loosening the ball joint. Went to HF and bought a fork remover, and got the job done. Not recommended even for the occasional user.

I do a lot work on my vehicles and friends and family vehicles has a hobby and for the price this is a great kit. However I did bend one, but that was my fault. I used a heavy duty impact when I shouldn't have. But I'm. Glad to have it in my tool assortment.

Hate to be the customer that reviews items on single use but, this tool saved me time and money of going to dealer .New car Part I needed was $30 each , old part was free and i already had it but needed a tool in this package to separate it from old ball joint for reuse. (cone on ball joint for aluminum lower control arm for subaru STi)Slow and steady i backed it off, I used a socket and driver and slowly worked it off. So again only used it once but it paid for itself already . The casting of steel sure looks lousy so on more of a heavy duty job I would question this but for the price and next day shipping my car was back on the ground. Subaru had these parts back ordered so this was option B and it worked out.

Only used the tie rod end tool so far and it is da' bomb! Been using pickle fork for years and for years been tearing up boots but when replacing who cares right! This time I needed to removed tie rod end and re-install so I went with this kit and the tie rod end tool made it so easy and no damage to boot. You wont be disappointed.
